Conclusion

Chapters 9, 10, and 11 have focused on between-group research designs: designs in which each participant is assigned to just one treatment condition and provides data under that condition only.

In some situations, however, it is advantageous to conduct studies in which each participant provides data under every treatment condition. This is called a repeated-measures design and requires data analysis techniques that differ from the ones presented in the previous three chapters. The next chapter introduces procedures for analyzing data from the simplest type of repeated-measures design.
