Conclusion

You can use the one-way repeated-measures ANOVA to analyze data from studies in which each participant is exposed to every level of the independent variable. In some cases, this involves a single-group design in which repeated measurements are taken at different points in time. As this chapter has pointed out, these single-group repeated-measures studies often suffer from a number of problems. Fortunately, some of these problems can be rectified by adding a second group of participants, a control group, to the design. The next chapter shows how to analyze data from that type of study.
