The attributes within an item in DynamoDB are represented as key-value pairs. Each value can have a single entry or can consist of a list of entries, a map, or a set of other key-value pairs. The values support nesting of other values within an attribute up to 32 levels deep, as long as the item does not exceed the 400 KB maximum size; this means we can store complete documents within an attribute.
