Endpoints

The SWF endpoints are different for each region, and a list of the current SWF endpoints can be found in the link in the Further reading section of this chapter. Since the service endpoints are regionally bound, the domains, workflows, and components executing workflow tasks must also exist within the same region, as per the requirement that they all communicate with the same endpoint. This means that any SWF components, such as domains, workflows, and tasks, created in one region will not be available in the other region. If we have an application that is distributed across multiple regions, we will need to create multiple workflows, each responsible for a certain regional part of the application if the architecture of the application requires us to do so.
