On top of that, you need to learn about the backup strategies for each data type, the approaches to life cycling, and making sure that the data residing on a certain data store is compliant with regulations and laws. When preparing for this domain, keep the following points in mind:

• Understand the different data types and the data stores that are available in AWS for each data type
• Be able to differentiate between S3, S3-IA, S3-RRS, Glacier, instance store, EBS, and EFS
• When to upload and when to use Snowball/Snowmobile
• Use AWS built-in tools and external tools/scripts to backup and snapshot EC2 and RDS instances and other AWS services
• Understand compliance with availability, durability, regional compliance, and data sovereignty
