Chapter 18. Note Taking 301: Finding and Researching Information

In This Chapter

  • Search for information within your notes

  • Jump directly to a search result

  • Search handwriting and text

  • Use OneNote's research capabilities to find more information

After a few days, weeks, or months, you might amass a large number of folders, sections, and note pages. One of the reasons you might want to use OneNote instead of a spiral-bound notebook is the ability to search your OneNote files for information. You can search text or writing on note pages stored on your computer, on a network drive, or on a SharePoint site.

In this chapter we'll cover the various ways you can find information you've entered in OneNote. We'll also cover a new feature of Office 2003 programs, the ability to research information from a variety of research service sites directly within OneNote.
