Part V. Tracking and Communicating

Part IV of this book described how to determine an appropriate schedule for a project. Once a plan and schedule have been created, the planning is not over. It is important to monitor progress against the plan, communicate about progress, and then refine the plan based on our observations.

In the first two chapters in this part, we look first at how to monitor a release plan and then at how to monitor an iteration plan. The part concludes by looking at various ways of communicating about estimates, plans, and progress. Also included is a sample end-of-iteration summary report.
