For the More Adventurous

The following tips are only for those truly comfortable with the advanced technology available. You want to take this stuff step-by-step. If you like the idea of what you read in this section, great, but just know you have to start at whatever point you're most comfortable with and move up from there.

Meeting Mngr Pro: An application now available that I look forward to hearing more about and using personally is Meeting Mngr Pro. Inspired by and designed after the popular Seth Godin (international best-selling author) blog, in which Godin builds his dream effective meeting application, Meeting Mngr Pro is an iPad app to make meetings more interactive by giving people an easy way to participate, create surveys, vote, share documents, and give feedback in real time. The app allows as many iPads as necessary to be connected without the need for an online server or Internet connection for most of the functionalities. While it may drive all of your participants to be looking down instead of up and require everyone to have an iPad, it's destined to be a note-worthy application if it keeps up with the times and feedback suggestions.

Wikis: No doubt you've heard of Wikipedia, the on-line resource for … everything. Why not create your own wiki? It's a collaborative-style web site in which all participants can access data and provide updated information. Your project team can individually post and access all past meeting notes, project updates, or review convention logistics.

Prompster: This is the iPad version of a teleprompter. Give a presentation like the best of them with a working teleprompter in the palm of your hands. A downside is that it's in the palm of your hands and you're not looking at the audience. Check out Agenda Item 5, “Your Presentation Sucks.” This may help.
