Throughout his career, Sahil has worked on numerous enterprise level systems as both an engineer and an architect during multiple stages of pipeline maturity, ranging from inception/initial design through to maturity and sunsetting. While doing so, he has helped stand up and scale systems containing up to petabytes worth of data and has supported dozens of analysts working on thousands of reports/dashboards. During that time he has been fortunate to see the different cloud services gain market share and eventually evolve into the behemoths they are today. While working in these systems as they have matured, Sahil has been able to learn first hand the ins and outs of building scalable data systems using cloud technology, the lessons of which he will pass onto the reader of this text.
