As a travel photographer, I love capturing people in their element. Known as “cultural portraits,” these photographs give you a close look at not only the subject but also the environment around them. For this image, I used the 24–70mm f/2.8 lens and a wide aperture in order to blur the background and allow my subject to stand out, and I used a flash to add some fill light to the woman’s face.
