With landscape photography, your options for a proper white balance setting (such as Daylight or Cloudy) are more straightforward than with many other types of photography. If you’re shooting in RAW, you have more leeway when choosing a white balance in-camera, because you can always adjust it when editing your images without losing any quality. Even so, I advise you to get things right in-camera so you don’t have to spend too much time in front of a computer.
Although there’s generally a “correct” white balance for any given scene, that doesn’t mean you need to stick with that setting. Try experimenting with your white balance. You might find that you like the new look a different white balance brings (Figures 6.8 and 6.9).
