“How do you know, when you think blue—
when you say blue—that you are talking about
the same blue as anyone else?
You cannot get a grip on blue.
Blue is the sky, the sea, a god’s eye, a devil’s tail, a birth,
a strangulation, a virgin’s cloak, a monkey’s ass.
It’s a butterfly, a bird, a spicy joke, the saddest song, the brightest day.”
–Christopher Moore, Sacré Blue: A Comedy d’Art
Now that your metaphorical tool belt is filled with color techniques, the best thing to do is to start using them. You can experiment with using a combination of techniques for interesting shots: shutter drag with a projector; a gobo with color blocking; triple shadow with multiple exposure. Why not throw them all into one shot: multiple exposure of a subject, lit with a projector and a CMY triple flash, fired through a plant, while using shutter drag. Have fun exploring.
Use the hashtag #chromaanywhere so I can see your creations. Happy shooting!
