Summary

The goal of this chapter was to show you how to integrate Web Services with different platforms. In Chapter 13, “Business to Customer XML Web Services,” you already did some of this by using a Web Service located on a different operating system (Apache Web Server on Linux, at the time of writing). In this chapter, you integrated your Web Services with the Mobile Internet Toolkit, which provides wireless and handset users views into the same data that you can get from a Web page. As WAP/WML-enabled handsets become more powerful and faster, many analysts predict that more Web browsing will be done on handsets than on desktop computers. Learning this toolkit and some of the techniques covered in this chapter will serve you well in the future.
