Protecting a peninsula that juts 4 km (2.5 miles) into the Indian Ocean, the tall cliffs of the stunning Robberg Nature Reserve offer fantastic views over a dramatic seascape of wave-battered rocks and pristine secluded bays. Wildlife here includes a large resident colony of Cape fur seals, and – less reliably – sharks, dolphins and whales. Three circular hiking trails are on offer: the relatively undemanding Gap Circuit, the Witsand (White Sand) Circuit and the more strenuous Point Circuit.
