Start exploring the central Strip by visiting the elegant Bellagio casino, and marvel at the floral displays in its Conservatory. Then catch the Aria Express CityCenter tram to see the contemporary sculptures in the Aria, and shop at the stylish Crystals retail mall. Now head north across the Strip to Paris Las Vegas, and enjoy a panoramic view from atop the Eiffel Tower. Eat lunch in one of the city’s all-you-can-eat buffets.

Visit Caesars Palace, admiring its version of Michelangelo’s David and browsing beneath the artificial sky of the Forum Shops. Cross the Strip to the LINQ and ride its High Roller observation wheel for stupendous views over the city and valley. Then move on to the Venetian and cruise along the Grand Canal in a gondola.

Take in a Cirque du Soleil® show, then treat yourself to a gourmet dinner at Restaurant Guy Savoy. Join the after-dark crowds on the Strip sidewalk to see free attractions such as the erupting volcano outside the Mirage and the dancing fountains of the Bellagio.

Start by touring the mega-casinos at the southern end of the Strip. Enter the pyramid of the Luxor between the paws of the giant Sphinx, and visit its Bodies and Titanic exhibitions. Then walk through Excalibur castle to reach New York New York; take a swooping ride on its roller coaster. Head north to the other end of the Strip, where the Stratosphere Tower offers more thrilling rides and amazing views.

Continue to the city’s original downtown core for a classic Las Vegas lunch at the Buffet in the Golden Nugget. It’s a five-minute walk from here to the Mob Museum, which reveals Vegas’s crime-ridden history in entertaining detail. As the sun sets, take a cab to the Neon Museum for a shimmering retro tour.

Return to downtown’s Fremont Street Experience and watch the amazing light shows on the overarching canopy. Venture into the historic casinos along this stretch of “Glitter Gulch.” Dine at Oscar’s Steakhouse.

Pack a picnic lunch, and head 10 miles (16 km) west to Red Rock Canyon. Drive the scenic loop road along the escarpment, and take a short hike into one of the winding canyons.

It’s about an hour’s drive back across the city and east to Hoover Dam. Take a tour, which includes impressive views over the dam’s huge generators from the observation deck.

Return to the city for an early dinner at Picasso. Take in a star-studded musical, then party away in one of the Strip’s glamorous nightclubs.
