EXPLORING BOSTON

Whether you have just a couple of days, or more time to explore, there’s so much to see and do in Boston. Here are some ideas for how to make the most of your time.

Two Days in Boston


Day 1

Morning

Begin at Boston Common and Public Garden, and pick up a map for the Freedom Trail at the Information Kiosk. Walk the trail, stopping at Faneuil Hall for lunch and to shop for souvenirs.

Afternoon

Continue along the Freedom Trail to the Charlestown Navy Yard, and then explore the Museum of Science. Pay a visit to Harvard University for a leisurely walk around campus and then take in a concert at Sanders Theatre.

Day 2

Morning

Start off at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and then see the exquisite collections of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Lunch at Café G.

Afternoon

Discover the Romanesque beauty of Trinity Church before exploring Newbury Street shopping. In the evening, enjoy a show at the Boch Center – Wang Theatre.


Four Days in Boston


Day 1

Morning

From Boston Common and Public Garden explore Beacon Hill and the antiques shops of Charles Street. Stop for lunch at Artú.

Afternoon

Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum then dine at Sorellina before a performance at Symphony Hall.

Day 2

Morning

Explore Back Bay, visiting Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library, and the art galleries and shops that make Newbury Street a shopper’s paradise.

Afternoon

Spend the afternoon at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, followed by a waterside seafood dinner at Legal Harborside.

Day 3

Morning

Walk the Freedom Trail, pausing at Faneuil Hall for coffee and a snack. At the end of the trail, tour the Charlestown Navy Yard and stop for lunch at the historic Warren Tavern.

Afternoon

Head over to the New England Aquarium and marvel at the marine life on display. Then take in the nearby Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, joining in with the revolutionary fun. Complete the day on a Boston Harbor Cruise, departing from Long Wharf.

Day 4

Morning

Start at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum before exploring the campus at JFK’s alma mater, Harvard University.

Afternoon

After lunch in Harvard Square and a browse around its bookstores visit the Peabody and Natural History Museums and then head over to the fascinating Museum of Science. If the Red Sox are playing an evening game, head over to Fenway Park, but if you can’t get hold of tickets, just make your way to Game On!, the on-site sports bar, and watch a live broadcast of the game there.
