Roles

There are four roles for interacting with Live Events in Yammer that are produced with Teams, as shown in the following table:

Role Name Role Capabilities and Permissions
Organizer
  • Creates and configures the event
  • Cancels or edits the event
  • Shares the event
  • Invites attendees and sets attendee permissions
  • Selects event group members
  • Manages reports
Producer
  • Starts and stops the live event
  • Shares the video (both own and the participant's) during the event
  • Shares active window or desktop screen
  • Selects presenter layouts
Presenter
  • Presents video, audio, or screen
  • Moderates Q&A
Attendee
  • Views the event (either live or after the broadcast)
  • Participates in the event conversation (questions, answers, comments)

 

Once you have an understanding of these roles, you can use the following steps for tasks before, during, and after the event.
