Many photographers dream of coming home with an iconic image when they travel—that one shot that truly embodies a country or culture. The challenge is that so many elements are out of your control, and you have to be ready when the moment happens. I was ready for this moment as the sun rose over the temple complex and the monk walked right into my scene.
