High-Protein Strawberry Banana Smoothie

This delicious smoothie combination is a classic, but all too often it’s made with sugary syrups and other unhealthy ingredients. This healthier version features plenty of hunger-fighting fiber, plus probiotics to promote a healthy gut.

PER SERVING 192 CALORIES      TOTAL TIME 5 MINUTES     GROCERIES 5 INGREDIENTS

Makes: 2 servings

Serving size: 12fl oz (350ml)

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 medium frozen banana (be sure to peel before freezing)

6oz (170g) low-fat strawberry Greek yogurt

1 cup skim milk

½ cup water

  1. Place the strawberries, banana, yogurt, milk, and water in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth. Transfer to 2 glasses and serve.

{TIP}

Frozen bananas make the best smoothies. If you have lots of ripe bananas, peel and store them in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
