EDGAR WACHENHEIM III is chairman and CEO of Greenhaven Associates, an investment management firm he founded in 1987. He is a trustee of the Museum of Modern Art and the New York Public Library, where he chairs the Investment Committee. He has been a director of a number of corporations and currently is vice chairman of the board of Central National–Gottesman Corporation, a worldwide marketer and distributor of pulp and paper. Wachenheim is a graduate of Williams College and Harvard Business School, where he was elected a Baker Scholar after his first year of study. He lives in Rye, New York, with his wife in a home that it frequented by his four grown children and six grandchildren.
