James Diorio is the CEO of Tradecraft Capital, which manages a macro/thesis‐driven blockchain fund. He has been at the forefront of technology and innovation throughout his career, and has over 30 years of experience as an executive, serial entrepreneur, technologist, and advisor with depth creating and growing successful enterprises.

It was in 2018 that James took a deep dive into the blockchain space. Intrigued but with little true understanding of this technology, he spent a full year studying and attending conferences and events worldwide to get a broad perspective and appreciation of this technological breakthrough before fully embracing it. After becoming an early advisor to Tradecraft Capital where he helped refine the Age of Autonomy® thesis, he ultimately was invited to take the executive reins.

With a perspective based on education and understanding, his career has always been purpose‐driven with an emphasis on empowering groups and individuals and, importantly, on ensuring that friends and colleagues understand the importance of “why” as it relates to any venture, be it personal or professional.

James has advised, coached, and mentored individuals as well as technology and blockchain startups and was co‐founder of the Autonomy2040 conference where he was a moderator, contributor, and event facilitator. A technologist at heart, James holds a degree in computer science from University of California, Santa Barbara.

James is also co‐founder of the Bella Organization, a nonprofit created in honor of his late daughter, Bella Diorio, and focused on impacting highly functioning teens on the autism spectrum. James currently lives in Austin, Texas, with his life partner, Sofia Koo.
