Money: A Fact of Life
Just stop for a minute and think about the role that money plays in your life. Chances are it’s pretty darned important. You probably think about and talk about money a lot, because you need it for just about everything.
Without money, life as you know it would come to a quick and abrupt halt. You’d no longer be able to stop on your way home from school for a soda or coffee. You wouldn’t get new games for your Nintendo, or that cute sweater from the Gap. Without money, your choices and options become limited. You can’t do what you please, or live the way you might like to.
Money is important, and it’s a major fact of life in our society. In this part, we explore the role of money in our lives, look at how we treat money, and examine the history of money. We also discuss the limitations of money, and how it’s important to keep money in perspective.
