A classic brunch favorite, this drink is delightfully simple. The Mimosa is comprised of equal parts Champagne and orange juice. It is slightly softer on the alcohol than its relative the Buck’s Fizz, making it perfect for long summer days. It is said to have been invented by Frank Meier in 1925 at the Hôtel Ritz Paris.
Champagne is the traditional fizz, but other sparkling wines will also work well.
1. Make sure both ingredients are chilled.
2. Fill a Champagne flute halfway with Champagne.
3. Fill the second half of the glass with orange juice, leaving a two-finger-width gap at the top.
