Nutty and zesty, this low-alcohol cocktail is a great alternative to the boozy French 75. The main ingredient, orgeat, is a non-alcoholic syrup made from almonds and orange flower water. This refreshing drink first made an appearance in The Savoy Cocktail Book and is still adored by many bars. It makes a delicious, light tipple for scorching summer days.

the CLASSIC RECIPE

Choose this drink if you’re looking for less alcohol and more flavor.

1. Add 1/2 fl oz (15ml) orgeat and 1 fl oz (30ml) lemon juice to a shaker.

2. Fill with ice and shake for 15 seconds.

3. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

4. Top with Cava.
