You’ve identified your specific risks and organized them into their appropriate risk categories. You know some of those risks are on the horizon, and you’ve identified others that are of only minor concern. Some risks, however, are imminent and need to be addressed ASAP.
Now it’s time to determine the appropriate level of mitigation or action for each of the risks you face. At first glance, risk assessment might seem like a college-level calculus course, but it doesn’t have to be that complicated. The following chapters show you ways to build simple measures and assessments that will provide the data you need. Of course, if you want to be a complete risk management maniac and go for complex, intricate measures, you’ll be introduced to those tools as well.
