In this part, you will also learn some QiGong history and see why some QiGong is different from T’ai Chi. Learning QiGong will make your T’ai Chi experience much richer. It is said that medicine cures, but the best medicine prevents. To that end, you’ll learn not only about the personal healing powers of QiGong, but also how you can share your Qi, or life energy, with others.

This part also alerts you to some common challenges you may encounter as you begin exploring your inner self with Sitting QiGong. The Sitting QiGong exercise in Chapter 11 will get your Qi overflowing. In fact, it will lead you through an explanation and exercise that may actually change the way you view the universe you live in. Chapter 10 exposes you to the beautiful and wonderful feeling of Moving QiGong exercises, or Dong Gong. There are thousands of them, so in this chapter you will be able to only dip your toe into an ocean of what’s out there. The T’ai Chi warm-up exercises in Chapter 11 are QiGong exercises that not only calm the mind, but also prepare the body for T’ai Chi. These exercises alone can have a wonderful impact on your day.
