ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Bob Maurer is a clinical psychologist on the faculty of the UCLA and the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is also the Director of Behavioral Science for the Family Medicine Residency in Spokane, Washington. He has served as a consultant to Walt Disney Studios, the U.S. Navy and Air Force, Four Seasons Hotels, and Habitat for Humanity. His book on creativity and change, One Small Step Can Change Your Life, is available in 16 languages. Michelle Gifford, MA, CCC-SLP, is a clinical speech language pathologist in private practice and a consultant-educator for families and teams, developing programs of excellence on behalf of children with special needs. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Washington University and Washington State University’s graduate school programs in communication disorders. Michelle lives in Nine Mile Falls, WA with her husband and youngest son.
