The sonic logos you already knew.
Now you know some of the creators.
For some it is there legacy.
For others it is just one more thing.
Some where classically trained and others went to the School of Rock.
All paid homage to the NBC Chimes and to Intel.
And the backstage stories are “priceless” …Can you believe that Steven Spielberg credited the sonic logo from John Williams for at least 50 percent of the success of Jaws?
Or that Mike Post has Grammy Awards for L.A. Law, Hill Street Blues, and The Rockford Files but says the Law and Order sonic logo has a special place in his heart.
Walter Werzowa’s first love was Beethoven but it was ABBA (S.O.S.) and Indeep (Last Nite A DJ Saved My Life) that led to five million in sales. Intel allowed him the opportunity to return to Austria and make his teachers proud, again.
These all are now in the Hall of Fame of sonic logos.
In the future, we will undoubtedly have trouble getting the Mastercard sonic logo out of our head. And it’s possible that after watching The Adventures of Mark Twain on Netflix that sonic logo might end up as an earworm too.
