Set theory/relational transformations

Set theory/relational transformations are transformation functions, which handle transformations like Joins of datasets and other relational algebraic functionality such as cogroup. These functions work by applying the transformational logic to existing RDDs and generating a new RDD.

Examples of such transformations are:

  • cogroup
  • join
  • subtractByKey
  • fullOuterJoin
  • leftOuterJoin
  • rightOuterJoin
