There is always a first time for everything. Here in this chapter, we will take one scenario and then we will try to complete the scenario with Azure Functions so that we can understand how Azure Functions work, and the different resources of Microsoft Azure that are involved in the whole scenario.
In this chapter, we will focus on creating our first Azure Function. We will create an Azure Function App and then we will create an Azure Function with triggers and output bindings.
We will also troubleshoot if we find any issues in the Azure Function. One of the most important things in Azure App Services or Azure Functions is the Kudu editor.
We will go through in detail about the Kudu editor, folder structure, and files available in the Azure Functions.
In this chapter, we will cover following topics:
- Anatomy of Azure Functions
- Setting up a basic Azure Function
- Troubleshooting Azure Functions
- Executing the Azure Function
