In this chapter, we delved into how to use Appium Inspector to find locators of UI elements. Also, we learned to derive xpath over the Appium-generated xpath, which is long and difficult to comprehend and maintain. Xpath has to be used if there are no readily available locators, preferably IDs. We also implemented a few cucumber steps to use locators and learned to select the element we need from the list.

We learned about the UI Automator Viewer and how to use it. We also learnt about debugging mobile web apps or webviews using Chrome browser's inspect feature.
