In general, RESTful web services communicate over HTTP with the standard HTTP verbs (also known as method types) such as GET, PUT, POST, DELETE, HEAD, and OPTIONS. In this section, we will see annotations provided by JAX-RS for enabling a POJO class to process the standard HTTP method types.
