In our previous chapters on EC2 and S3, we have already discussed in detail how to store and deliver block-level and object-level data from AWS. While those two options can cover most of the scenarios for serving data, there are some cases where these storage options need to be extended with additional functionality. To achieve this, AWS has a wide ranging storage option portfolio that can enable customers to deliver, serve, back up, and access their data to and from AWS.
