EFS also offers advanced features that help us manage the security and resilience of our data. We can enable EFS encryption, which can encrypt our filesystems with the standard AES256 encryption available within AWS. We can also integrate it with the KMS service if we would like to use custom encryption keys. EFS file sync also offers us the ability to synchronize our filesystems across multiple EFS locations in multiple regions or deliver synchronization of our NFS environments on-premises. We are also able to incrementally backup our EFS datastores with the EFS-to-EFS backup solution.
