Performing stack deletion is as simple as issuing a command to the CloudFormation service. A stack will be deleted only if there are no dependent resources using the resources that were created by the stack. For example, this occurs when we create a VPC and an EC2 instance with a separate stack and then we want to delete the VPC. The deletion will fail, while the EC2 instance still exists in the VPC that was created in the stack that we are trying to delete.
