Interface endpoints – powered by AWS PrivateLink

An interface endpoint is represented as an elastic network interface attached to the VPC. The interface will be assigned a private IP address within the VPC and the service that is attached to an interface endpoint will be responding on that private IP address. Please consult the VPC endpoints link in the Further reading section of this chapter to get a full list of services as many more services are supported as an interface endpoint. This is because these are enabled by using AWS PrivateLink. PrivateLink provides the capability of attaching the ENI to the VPC and essentially allows the service to be accessible within your VPC subnet, so it is like having the AWS service delivered as a private solution to your application – like having your own little AWS:
