How to do it...

  1. Navigate to Firewall | Aliases.
  2. Click on the Add button.
  3. Enter a name for the alias in the Name text field:

  1. Enter a brief (non-parsed) description in the Description text field.
  2. Select the type of alias to create in the Type drop-down menu (the choices are Host(s), Network(s), Port(s), URL (IPs), URL (Ports), URL Table (IPs), URL Table (Ports). The differences between these types will be explained in the There’s more section.
  1. Finish the configuration based on the Type selection. For Host(s), you should enter a host; for Network(s), you should enter a network and CIDR, and for Port(s), you should enter a port or port range. If you need to specify more than one entry, click on the Add button. There should be an Add button for all types except URL Table (IPs) and URL Table (Ports).
  2. When you are done, click on the Save button.
  3. Click on Apply Changes.
