In order to set up a captive portal on an interface, the DHCP (or DHCP6) server must be running on the interface. To enable the DHCP or DHCP6 server, see Chapter 2, Essential Services, Configuring the DHCP server and the Configuring the DHCP6 server recipes. It is generally good practice to set up a separate interface for captive portal traffic.
