Your implementation project has just started and you have created your first environment. To set up the initial configuration, we recommend that you leverage the data management framework within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and start with the base data packages that have been released by Microsoft. We can download the base data packages from LCS, extract the data files, fit them to the customer's business needs, and then load them in the initial environment. 

Many partners and ISVs are investing in creating industry-specific data packages that they intend to use over and over again in various implementation scenarios. These data packages can also be used to seed the initial configuration environment. 

Once you have applied the base data packages, you can save them as data templates. You can also load the default template provided by Microsoft. You can add and remove entities, according to your requirements, and maintain the data template in order to create future data projects.
