Spearman's rank correlation is not the default correlation calculation that is built into PySpark, but it is very useful. The Spearman correlation coefficient is the Pearson correlation coefficient between the ranked variables. Using different ways of looking at correlation gives us more dimensions of understanding on how correlation works.
