After the successful deployment of the multidimensional model for Analysis Services, close the project and create a new project. Now, create a new report.
Let's define a data source for our report:
- Add a new report data source in the Report Data window. Give your data source a name; in our case we put
AnalysisServiceDatasource. Select Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services under the connection type:
- Click on the Edit button of the Connection string box, and specify the properties for our connection:
- Test the connection to make sure you have the correct information to connect to the Analysis Services server. Then, click on the OK button.
