About the Authors

Founder and CEO of LitheSpeed LLC and the Agile Leadership Academy, Sanjiv Augustine is an entrepreneur, industry-leading agile and lean expert, author, speaker, management consultant, and trainer. With 30 years in the industry, Sanjiv has served as a trusted advisor over the past 20 years to executives and management at leading firms and agencies including Capital One, the Capital Group, CNBC, Comcast, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Federal Reserve Board of Governors, General Dynamics, HCA Healthcare, the Motley Fool, National Geographic, Nationwide Insurance, PG&E, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Walmart, and Samsung.

He is the host of the Agile Caravanserai podcast and author of the books Managing Agile Projects (Prentice-Hall 2005), Scaling Agile: A Lean JumpStart (2015); and several seminal publications, including “The Lean-Agile PMO: Using Lean Thinking to Accelerate Agile Project Delivery.” He is the past chair of the Agile Alliance’s Agile Executive Forum and the founder and moderator of the DC Lean + Agile Meetup. Sanjiv was also a founder and advisory board member of the Agile Leadership Network (ALN) and a founding member of the Project Management Institute’s Agile Community of Practice.

Roland Cuellar (kway-are) is the Senior Vice President of Business Agility at LitheSpeed, where he helps large organizations move toward end-to-end agility. Roland has focused exclusively on agile software development and lean business process improvement for the last 14 years. During that time, Roland has worked with Capital One, CNBC, Westinghouse Nuclear Power, Nationwide Insurance, the Capital Group, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the US Courts, General Dynamics, and many other clients on enterprise agile adoption. Roland has spoken at numerous conferences and has published a number of articles on the subjects of agile, portfolio management, quality, and Kanban. Roland has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Houston and an MBA from UCLA. He holds certifications as a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) from Scaled Agile, a Certified Scrum Practitioner from Scrum Alliance, and a Lean-Six-Sigma Green Belt.

A Certified Kanban Coach and Certified Agile Leader, Audrey Scheere is the Senior Vice President of Training and Innovation at LitheSpeed, where she directs the team’s strategic initiatives and portfolio of services. Audrey has been a project consultant for 10 years, focusing on media and communications.

Audrey has consulted on and contributed to dozens of global translation and digital content projects, from radio broadcasting to media recording and translation. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, she trained both volunteers and local counterparts in project design and management for community development and facilitated public health and IT workshops (Philippines, 2012–2014). She holds a BA in Telecommunication Media Studies from Texas A&M University and a certificate in Leading for Creativity from IDEO U.
