Marcus Goncalves, Ed.D., Ph.D.

Marcus Goncalves is an international business researcher focusing most of his research on international entrepreneurship and MNEs internationalization modes of entry, particularly Lusophone-African and frontier markets’ internationalization strategies. He is also an international management consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Boston University and a Ph.D. in Business from the University of Saint Joseph, Macao, China S.A.R. He has more than 45 books published in the United States, many translated into Portuguese, German, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish. He is often invited to speak on international business, global trade, international management, and organizational development subjects worldwide. Harry Xia, DBA

Harry Xia is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Business Programs at the Craig School of Business of the California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). He had held key management positions in finance and marketing for multinational corporations in the United States and the Asia Pacific for almost 20 years before joining Fresno State and still serves as an active business consultant and advisor to companies in the greater China region and its surrounding areas. His primary research interests include corporate finance, international business, and corporate governance. His research has been published in numerous journals and conference proceedings. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Master of Hospitality Management from the University of Houston in Texas. Mario Svigir, Ph.D.

Mario Svigir is a researcher and lecturer of international and sustainable economics at a variety of business schools in Eastern Europe. He holds a doctorate in Economics. Dr. Svigir collaborates extensively, as contracted expert, with the European Commission (E.C.), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the International Training Centre of the International Labor Organization (ITC-ILO) in Turin, Italy, and the World Bank International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) on projects dealing with growth, governance, economic policy, equality, cohesion, and sustainability. As a macroeconomic advisor, he steers actions related to the establishment of a global coalition of sovereign wealth funds and potential establishment of U.S.- and China-based sovereign wealth funds. His ideas for a more effective global economy for the 21st century are related to better deployment of the relationship between real and financial economics and proper adoption of the digital postmodern outlook of an economy, from local to a global level, toward its socially and environmentally more sustainable setup.
