Run

You can run the built file from the command line by double-clicking the file icon, or even using the Go tools (with go run hello.go). No matter how it's launched, you should see something like this screenshot appear:

You can see that, just like with andlabs UI, we were able to run this single file on many operating systems. The difference here is that the applications look almost identical. That's the benefit of using a toolkit like GTK+ and why you may consider Go-GTK for your next application.

Before we look at a more complete application user interface, we should investigate some of the details of the Go-GTK API.
