Dressed-Up Frozen Waffles

Frozen waffles aren’t known for their nutritional prowess, but you may be surprised to learn how they can be dressed up into a healthy breakfast that’s ready in just minutes. With a few fresh toppings, you can add protein, fiber, antioxidants, and healthy fats.

Makes: 1 serving

Serving size: 2 waffles

2 whole grain frozen waffles (I like Trader Joe’s brand)

¼ cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt

½ cup fresh raspberries

2 tbsp chopped pistachios

1 tbsp honey

  1. Prepare the waffles according to package directions.
  2. Spread the yogurt over the warm waffles and then top with the raspberries and pistachios.
  3. Drizzle with the honey and serve.

{TIP}

To make this dairy-free, replace the Greek yogurt with a smear of almond butter.
