Cheese & Garlic Rolls

Bread rolls might have seemed like a food from your past, but just because you’re following a low-carb diet doesn’t mean you can’t have a delicious cheesy roll.

PREP TIME 10 mins

COOK TIME 11 mins

MAKES 4 rolls

SERVING SIZE 1 roll

½ cup almond flour

1 tbsp psyllium husk powder

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 large egg white

⅓ cup hot water

1 tsp garlic powder

½ cup grated Cheddar cheese

1. Set the air fryer temp to 360°F (180°C).

2. In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, psyllium husk powder, and baking powder. Mix well.

3. Add the apple cider vinegar and egg white. Mix until the ingredients start to come together. Add the hot water and continue to mix until the ingredients absorb all the hot water and turn into a dough ball.

4. Split the dough into quarters and roll into balls. Place the balls on a baking pan.

5. Place the pan in the fryer basket and bake until the balls double in size and have a crispy exterior, about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the fryer basket.

6. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder and Cheddar cheese. Cover the balls with the mixture. Return the pan to the fryer basket and cook until the cheese has melted, about 1 to 2 minutes more.

7. Remove the pan from the fryer basket and allow the rolls to cool for 2 minutes before serving.

Tips The water needs to be hot for this recipe to work properly because psyllium husk powder activates with hot water to create perfect rolls. Store the baked rolls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
