In this chapter, we explored events in the Lightning Component framework. Conceptually, events are hard to grasp. However, once you understand them, they can help you to write code to communicate between different components. Care must be taken to document these events, and to follow a well-defined pattern, so that it will be easy to maintain the application.
In the next chapter, we will explore Lightning base components and Lightning Data Service, and we will look at how they can simplify building Lightning Components.
