This sparkling nod to the Moscow Mule really brings the heat. Where the classic cocktail contains ginger beer, this fiery drink packs a punch with ginger syrup and lemongrass. Not for the faint-hearted! Like the Moscow Mule, this drink works well in a copper cup.
Add extra lemongrass purée to give your drink more of a kick.
1. Shake 12/3 fl oz (50ml) vodka, 1 fl oz (30ml) lime juice, 2/3 fl oz (20ml) ginger syrup, and 1 tsp lemongrass paste over ice.
2. Strain into a highball glass or copper cup with ice.
3. Top with Champagne.
Garnish: A fresh lemongrass stick makes a great garnish for this drink.
Swap the vodka for apple juice and replace the Champagne with soda water or sparkling grape juice.
