In this chapter, we rehashed the basics of trigger development on the Force.com platform. Additionally, we talked about trigger frameworks and investigated one of them—the SFDC-trigger-framework by Kevin O'Hara—in depth. Hopefully, you're comfortable reading and writing basic triggers, know the risks inherent in traditional trigger development and how a framework like Kevin O'Hara's helps impart order and discipline to triggers.

In the next chapter, we'll take a look at using various forms of asynchronous Apex, such as batchable and schedulable Apex as well as @future annotated code and the new queueable Apex classes.
