Joli Ballew is a columnist on the Windows XP Expert Zone and the author of several books on Windows and digital media. Her latest titles include Windows XP Professional—The Ultimate User’s Guide, Second Edition; A Simple Guide to Photoshop 7.0; and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Photoshop Elements 2.0. Joli teaches Microsoft Office Specialist training, Microsoft FrontPage, and MCSE courses at Eastfield Community College, and consults for companies in the Dallas area.

Joli attended the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. In 2000, she earned her MCSE, MCT, and A+ certifications and began writing fulltime soon thereafter. Joli also works for North Texas Graphics, a screen-printing, embroidery, and graphics company specializing in producing logos, advertisements, and promotional materials.
